Mindfulness in Wellington | One to One Mindfulness for Stress Reduction   –   Now also provided Online

For people who like to attend a mindfulness based intervention on a One to One basis, Wholistic Health Works offers an individually tailored course which consists of six 55-minute sessions.

This practical course is intended for anyone who wishes to develop mindfulness and free oneself from automatic and unhelpful patterns of thinking and responding. The One to One course is offered as a complement, and not a replacement to traditional medical and psychological treatments. It provides a foundation to integrate mindfulness into daily life to maintain mind-body balance, benefit health and increase well-being on an ongoing basis.

What We Cover Over the Course

The course is based on the MBSR programme and involves:

  • Learning guided mindfulness meditation practices, including mindfulness of breathing and the body, mindfulness of the mind, gentle stretching and mindful yoga.
  • Developing greater balance, increased well-being, and peace of mind.
  • Exploring mindful eating and mindful walking.
  • Discussing mindfulness as a practice to enhance awareness in everyday life.
  • Cultivating the ability to cope more effectively with both short- and long-term stress.

For lasting benefits home practice is essential. To support this you will receive a workbook with home assignments and 4 downloadable practice CD’s.
