Mindfulness in Wellington | Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction 8-Week Group Course

Are you looking for an evidence-based stress reduction course in Wellington? The groundbreaking 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course is now available.

This is an invitation for you to move toward greater balance, control and participation in your life. If you would like to learn how to take better care of yourself, and discover a deeper sense of ease, wellbeing and peace of mind, then the 8-week MBSR course may be what you are looking for.

Currently, I am the only person with teacher certification from the University of Massachusetts Center for Mindfulness offering MBSR in New Zealand.

 

What We Cover Over the 8-Week Course

  • Guided instruction in developing mindfulness meditation practices.
  • Gentle stretching and mindful yoga.
  • Inquiry exercises to enhance awareness in everyday life.
  • Group dialogue.
  • Individually tailored instruction.
  • Home assignments.
  • Practice materials including 4 downloadable practice recordings and a workbook.

Join us for a life-affirming course in the art of conscious living. What’s more, once you have completed the 8-week course all graduates can attend any day-long of practice that is offered as part of any future MBSR group course.

Taking an MBSR course is an ongoing commitment to yourself. For lasting benefits it is recommended to attend all sessions and to engage in home practice.

Course Frequency: Held every week on a Tuesday, 7 pm – 9.30 pm

Start Date: Tuesday 15th May 2018

End Date: Tuesday 3rd July 2018

Includes One Day-Long Class: Saturday  23rd June, 9.30 am – 5.30 pm

Location: All held at 31 Hobson Crescent, Thorndon in Wellington.

Cost of Course: $495.00 (includes all materials)

Limited Number of Places: Places are limited to 15 attendees per course.

Who Attends this Type of  Course

People are sent by health care providers, or are self-referred. Many enrol because, although they are feeling well physically, they say the pace of their lives is ‘out of control’, or they’re ‘just not feeling right’.
