Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)

MBSR was developed in the Division of Preventive and Behavioral Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in 1979 by Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn and his associates.  It has served as a model for more than 200 similar programmes in the USA and world-wide.

Over two decades of published research indicates that the practice of MBSR has been linked to:

Mindfulness is a way of learning to relate directly to whatever is happening in the present moment without judging or criticizing yourself, others or your experience.

MBSR is available in three formats:

  • as standalone one on one six weekly sessions
  • in combination with your Acupuncture/TCM treatments
  • as eight weekly group programmes
